    HOW TO USE THIS DEVOTION

This is a modified lectio divina devotion. Begin with a calming exercise such as deep breathing, and sit in a comfortable position. Clear your mind of all outside distractions, and spproach one of several of the above scriptures. Read it, close your eyes, and repeat the words in your mind. Allow yourself to drift into contact with God, listen for words or feelings that come to the surface as you absorb the scripture.

Close when you are ready, with gentle breathing, when you feel you've received all that God has to give to you in this time.
